Maria has been working at The Georgetown Animal Clinic since September 2020. Originally from Manchester England, Maria moved to Canada in 1989 and has been a resident of Georgetown for 27 years. Most of her career has been in Retail Management and customer service but she has always had a special interest in working in an animal clinic.
She is happy to spend her days working with an amazing team that she feels is like family. She also enjoys getting to know the clients and their pets.
In her spare time, Maria can be found walking her Boston Terrier - Dottie. Dottie got her name because of the dot on the middle of her head which is known as The Haggerty Spot. Going back to the 1900’s, the Haggerty Family was one of the earliest breeders of Boston Terriers. It’s also known as a kiss from God or an Angel’s kiss. Funny enough the name Dottie means Gift from God, which she truly is!
